Disney Putt Putt Golf Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Orlando

We had a great time playing putt putt at the Disney Winter Summerland Miniature Golf in Orlando, Florida. We loved the winter golf theme, with Christmas, snow, snowman and more. The kids had a fun time playing and pretending they were walking around snow.

It’s probably one of the busier putt putt golf in Orlando, Florida and there’s usually a wait to get on. As for price, it’s not too bad, but it does costs a little more than the other miniature golf places around there at around $12 to $14.

Kindergarten Little Girl Plays In Jr. Golf Tournament

Ana was very young when she started playing in golf tournaments. In this collection of a few swing shots, she was only five years old and going into kindergarten when she was played in her first local jr. golf team tournament.

6 Years Old Ana Does Her Happy Dance After Hitting Golf Ball Over the Water

Ana at six years old does her happy dance after hitting a golf shot over the water. She loved to try to see if she can hit her golf ball over the water and gets very happy when she does.

Family Fun Times at Helen, Georgia

We had a great weekend going to Helen, Georgia this Summer. There’s so much to do there from waterfalls, river rafting to putt putt golf. We enjoyed the town of Helen as well and what it had to offer.

The town of Helen, GA was a really nice place to walk around, eat and shop. It’s like a small German town up in the mountains. Most if not all of the buildings matched which made it even more unique. There’s horse carriage rides, home made ice creams, nice parks and more to do. It’s nice to also stand by the bridge or near the river and just watch the people coming down the river with tubes.

We hiked up to Anna Ruby Falls with the kids. The hike was pretty good. It wasn’t too long so the kids were able to keep up for the most part. I wish we would have brought the stroller for Liam, but it was still good. The path is paved all the way up to the waterfalls which makes it easy for walking and taking a stroller for the kids.

We did the Helen Tubing, which were the pink tubes, but it took us over two hours. The river level was pretty low that day and we got stuck on lots of rocks. We had to get out multiple times to push the tube off rocks and into deeper water. Most of the way, the water was only about a foot or so deep. It took us quite a long time to get to the exit point because of the water level. We couldn’t just sit back, be lazy and let the river take us down the river.

There’s also Cool River Tubing, the blue and green tubes, which is shorter. I think Cool River Tubing was only about 45 minutes or so. With Small kids, the shorter one might be better, but if you want to be on the river for most of the day, then you’ll want to go with Helen Tubing. It sounds like it can get pretty busy though and you may have to wait some time to get tubes, especially during the summer weekends.

The kids had fun playing a round of putt putt golf at the Pirate’s Cover Adventure Golf. It’s a pirate’s themed golf putt putt with waterfalls, cave and more.

We had a great time in Helen and would like to go again in a year or so. Next time we do go, we will definitely make sure the river water level is higher so we can enjoy the river tubing down the river more.

Tubing Down the Chattahoochee River in Helen, Georgia

We had a fun time water tubing down the Chattahoochee River in Helen, GA this summer.

We went with the pink tubes with the Helen Tubing company instead of the Cool River Tubing. The difference between the Helen Tubing and Cool River Tubing, aside from the pink vs the blue and green tubes, is the length of time on the river. Helen tubing can take up to two hours while the Cool River Tubing is about 45 minutes. Our kids did wonderful, although we were all anxious to get out of the water at about an hour.

The water level on the river was low which made it more difficult to just be lazy and let the river current take you down the river. We actually had to work for the two hours to get to our exit point. Our tubes for the most part was touching rocks, getting stuck on the rocks, etc. We had to get out several times just to push our tubes. The push sticks worked some, but not when there wasn’t much water to carry the tube.

If you decide to go tubing, you probably want to consider how long you want to be on the river and decide whether you want to go with Helen Tubing or Cool River Tubing, make sure you wear water shoes, bring our buy a push stick and make sure the river water level is now low. I think we would have enjoyed it more and not been worn out if the water level was high and we didn’t have to get out of the rocks the entire time. But we would do again next time as long as the water level is higher.

Atlanta Zoo Fun With The Kids

The kids enjoyed going to Zoo Atlanta this summer. We actually bought the season’s pass for family and were able to go a few times. It made it easier to see the animals when your not in a rush as it does pretty much takes all day to enjoy the zoo and not rush.

The price is not cheap if you buy individual tickets, but with the family pass, our two visits basically paid for the year’s pass. The parking is free also so there is no additional parking cost.

The kids loved seeing all of the big animals like the elephants, zebra, giraffes, and the giant pandas. I think they do have a rhinoceros, but we never really got to see it. We may have seen it from a distance, but couldn’t quite tell. They don’t have a hippo though. They also have a commodo dragon, red panda, tiger and sun bear that is not included in this video.

The Splash Mountain was popular with the kids. Ana and Jessa and a great time splashing around and making new friends. They also have a playground popular with kids. Both the girls end up making new friends to play with within minutes of playing.

Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf in Helen, GA

The Pirate’s Cover Adventure Golf in Helen, Ga was fun for the whole family to do together. We took our kids there on our last trip to Helen, GA and had a great time.

We’ve been to other Pirate’s Cover Adventure Golf before and it does look pretty much the same. I can’t remember if the other Pirate’s Cove give out free ice cream at the end, but this place had free ice cream that the kids enjoyed after a round of 18 holes in the heat.

For the price, it’s probably one of the better ones to go to.

Hiking to see Anna Ruby Falls in Helen GA

We took the kids hiking up the trail to see Anna Ruby Falls in Helen, GA this Summer. The kids love being outside and around nature, especially Ana who is always looking for creatures to investigate. The hike was good, it wasn’t too long and the kids managed to make it to the falls and back without too much complaining.

The path to the waterfalls is paved so if you have kids and need or want to take a stroller, it’s no problem. I think next time, we may take a stroller to make it easier on ourselves. Although the kids listened for the most part, we did have to keep making sure that they were not too close to the edge as it is quite possible to fall off the edge of the path and get pretty injured from the fall. It is an uphill hike up to the waterfalls, which can make pushing a stroller a little more challenging, but the hike back down to the car is easier going downhill.

There are picnic areas and other nature paths around if you are interested as well as a gift shop.

Giraffe Feeding at Zoo Atlanta Georgia with the Kids!

Our Zoo Atlanta trip included feeding the gentle giant giraffe. The kids were so excited to get up close and personal with the giraffe and couldn’t wait to feed them.

After the feeding, Ana and Jessa pose with the giraffe statue for pictures in which Jessa got mad at Ana for getting on the giraffe because she didn’t want Ana to hurt it. She was concerned about the giraffe.

Tampa Beach Florida Fun!

Tampa beach fun in Florida. We took the kids to Tampa Florida and found a nice little beach area where the kids can collect some shells and play in the sand. They enjoyed digging and collecting shells and rocks from the beach.

There were a lot more shells and rocks on this beach than some of the other beaches in Florida. One of the nicest beaches we’ve been to so far in Florida is on the the Gulf Coast Panama City, Pensacola Florida area.
